Early days
Born in Brisbane, 17-year-old Tahlia Kokkinis is a rising tennis pro on the WTA and ITF circuits, chasing her dreams one rally at a time.

She was introduced to tennis from a young age by her father, fostering a deep appreciation and connection to the sport. The sport's taken her globe-trotting to train at top academies with elite coaches, building skills and stories along the way.

She met world no.1s and grandslam champions, Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki during the coin toss at Australian Open. Tahlia will be competing on the very Melbourne Park courts during the 2026 Australian Open.
Junior highlights
Tahlia has been a standout junior in Australia, proudly representing Australia at the big international events like the Orange Bowl, Les Petits As, Eddy Herr, and leading Australian team to the 16s Junior Billie Jean King Cup finals.

Tahlia won the Istres J200 Singles and Doubles (2025), Sydney J200 Singles (2024) and Fiji J50 Singles twice in back to back weeks (2024).

She etched her name into history as the 2021 Australian Nationals Claycourt Singles Champion in the U12 girls' division – winning the title at the same age as her idol, Ash Barty.

Pro Breakthroughs
2024 saw her win her first pro title, when she won the Mildura W35 Doubles event, partnering Alicia Smith.

In 2025, she won her first Pro Tour Singles title at the Monastir ITF W15 tournament. She finished off 2025 strongly with another win at Tauranga ITF W35 tournament.

She also had some solid performances at W50 Brisbane, W35 Wagga Wagga where she reached the quarterfinals and at W15 Monastir where she was the semifinalist.

The consistent performances throughout 2025 propelled her inside the top WTA 500 rankings.

Tahlia competing at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open juniors in 2025. Competing against the top juniors in the world, she put in strong performances to go deep in those tournaments.
